One of the main purposes of this project was to create a live immersive experience for audiences, where both visuals and the music were performed live. In this video, it is possible to see the process I used to this end.
In Orale Pantera! I used as a backdrop footage I filmed in the Gower Peninsula, along the sand dunes at Oxwich Bay. This whole area in the UK represents for me one of the places where I stopped feeling like such a blatant immigrant and began looking at this country as a place for belonging. It is an incredible area of natural beauty looking out towards the Atlantic. I felt it would be interesting to juxtapose the images from this very British place with some very Latin American electro, as well as some of the soundscapes I recorded whilst traveling in Mexico.
in 2011. I wanted to exaggerate the colour that I could see on this summer day as I mixed the footage with other animations that I loved but that were chosen because of the way the shapes fit together rather than because of any particular theme. All in all, my general vibe for this was of a celebration.
